Colombian microbiologist and geneticist, full professor at the Department of Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de los Andes. Director of the Human Genetics Laboratory of the Faculty of Sciences since 1984. Research on the Molecular Epidemiology of cancer, Toxicological Genetics and Environmental Mutagenesis. First female scientist in become President of the Colombian Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences. Distinguished Professor, University of los Andes Bogotá, Colombia, 2023.
